Falling Walls Lab Eastern Finland 2025
In 2025, Finland was also among the other 82 global partners of Falling Walls Lab, and 10 main partners from Eastern Finland (UEF, Business Kuopio, Novapolis, Business Joensuu, Saastamoinen foundation, Kuopio region Chamber of Commerce, Nostetta Ventures, FiBAN, Business Center North Savo, Hub Panostamo) have joined forces to make the Falling Walls Lab Eastern Finland happen for the very first time in Eastern Finland.
On September 19th, Kuopio hosted the Falling Walls Lab Eastern Finland in Microkatu 1, Novapolis. The day kicked off with Falling Walls Lab Eastern Finland, and continued in the efaternoon with the Startup Summit Eastern Finland, where startups pitched their businesses to the jury of investors.
FWL Eastern Finland 2025 event brought together:
- 11 brilliant presenters from Kuopio, Joensuu, Oulu, and Tampere
- Keynote speakers from Oulu and Innovestor Life Science Fund (thank you Jarmo Lumpus and Milla Koistinaho for your insightful keynotes)
- A distinguished jury from UEF (Minna Hendolin), University of Helsinki (Ilkka Fagerlund), Arbonaut Oy (Tuomo Kauranne), Business Finland (Tuomas Planman), and Innovestor (Milla Koistinaho)
- Around 70 enthusiastic attendees
The first (Arash Mirhashemi) and second (Nithin Sadeesh) place winners from UEF, received the opportunity to represent Finland at the Falling Walls Lab finale in November in Berlin.
