About Falling Walls Lab Eastern Finland:

Falling Walls Lab is a world-class pitch competition and networking forum happens in Berlin that brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary pool of students and early-career professionals by providing a stage for breakthrough ideas both globally and locally.

This year Finland is also among the other 78 global partners of Falling Walls Lab, and 10 main partners from Eastern Finland (UEF, Business Kuopio, Novapolis, Business Joensuu, Saastamoinen foundation, Kuopio region Chamber of Commerce, Nostetta Ventures, FiBAN, Business Center North Savo, Hub Panostamo) have joined forces to make the Falling Walls Lab Eastern Finland happen. Falling Walls Lab Eastern Finland provides an exceptional opportunity for emerging talents to present groundbreaking research, business models, and initiatives across all disciplines. Selected participants will be given the chance to showcase their solutions to pressing global challenges before a distinguished jury, peers, and the wider public.

The winner of Falling Walls Lab Eastern Finland will secure a coveted spot in the global finale held in Berlin on 6 November, along with a ticket to attend the prestigious Falling Walls Science Summit (the travel and accommodation is also covered for the winner). This conference offers unparalleled networking opportunities with influential figures in science, business, and policymaking. Additionally, the global finale presents the chance to compete for the esteemed title of Breakthrough Winner in the Emerging Talents category of Falling Walls, accompanied by prize money and the opportunity to pitch their idea on the esteemed Falling Walls Breakthrough Day stage.

Falling Walls Lab Eastern Finland is now accepting applications from students and early-career professionals, inviting them to showcase their innovative ideas in a dynamic platform that fosters collaboration and drives impactful change. The deadline for applications is September 7.
